The City of Sherman approved a grant request on February 16, 2015 at the City Council meeting for 113 North Travis. This is a Central Business District rehabilitation grant that refunds up to 25%, or a maximum of $25,000, of construction costs. We are thankful for the city granting The Vanderveer Group $8,500 for this project. We have contracted with Bluestone Partners for the construction. We are in negotiations with Reclaimed Architectural Elements for the tenancy of the building. RAE is a New England based reclamation group.
Special thanks to Nate Strauch with the Herald Democrat and Meredith Yeomans with KTEN for their news coverage.

The building at 113 North Travis in Downtown Sherman, Texas has been many things over the years. From a shoe store, to a clothing boutique to a flower shop. The new plans for the structure call for two commercials spaces in the front of the building with two apartments in the back of the building. David Baca Studio completed the design in December 2014 and construction is expected to begin in March 2015.
